2010 HVI Format and Event Information
NOTE: DUE TO THE 1/2 DAY GAME SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, THE GAME CYCLE WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM SUNDAY

SATURDAY ONLY:
Each round of games begins at the same time. Games will be 25 minutes only, on a running clock, there will be no timeouts. Games may begin before the sound of the timekeepers horn with the agreement of both coaches and referees, however all games must end at the signal.
For example, the first game of the day goes as follows:
8:00- A single long blast indicates the game is to start
8:23- Two short blasts indicate 2 minutes left in the game
8:25- One single long blast indicates the end of the game
8:30 Round 2 begins
TIME OUTS: There will be no timeouts.
The other items for for Sunday remain the same for Saturday too.
SUNDAY ONLY:
Each round of games begins at the same time. The first half will last 25 minutes and the second half 20 minutes with 5 minutes allowed for half time. At the beginning and end of each half a single long blast of the timekeepers horn will sound. The timekeeper will indicate 2 minutes remaining in each half with 2 short blasts of his horn. Games may begin before the sound of the timekeepers horn with the agreement of both coaches and referees, however all games must end at the signal.
For example, the first game of the day goes as follows:
9:00- A single long blast indicates the game is to start
9:23- Two short blasts indicate 2 minutes remaining in the first half
9:25- One single long blast indicates the end of the first half
9:30- One single long blast indicates the second half is to begin
9:48- two short blasts indicate 2 minutes remaining in the second half
9:50-- One single long blast indicates the end of the game
10:00 Round 2 begins
TIME OUTS: Each team will be allowed a single one-minute time out per half. The field referee will control the duration of the time out. The general clock will continue to run through the time out. No time outs will be allowed during the last two minutes of each half.
PENALTIES: A separate clock for penalty time will be kept by the home team ( the first team listed on the schedule) for each game. Please bring along a clock. Penalty time stops on out of bounds etc.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Substitutions will be made by shouting "HORN" at an out of bounds situation. No horns will be used, except for the overall tournament timekeepers horn.
BOX RULE: is not in effect for the last two minutes
FOUR GOAL RULE: is in effect. No face off with a 4 goal lead. The ball will be given to the trailing team at midfield.
CLEAN UP: and clear the field as quickly as possible at the conclusion of the game. You've been great in the past. We will greatly appreciate your support in this effort
WATER: Each team is responsible for bringing its own water
MEDICAL EMERGENCY: We will have a professional medical trainer at the field. If there is an emergency, please send a runner to the information table. If needed, the trainer will call 911. If you need the information for 911 purposes, you are at the lacrosse tournament at Washington Fields of Princeton University on Washington Road located in West Windsor NJ.
